RING-A-LINGS!!

I haven't made anything for awhile, but while I was at Grandpa's the other day, I wanted to make Ring-a-Lings. I decided to try, so this morning, I go up and made the dough. Then I just finished them. They aren't as pretty as grandma's but they taste just as good. :)

Banana Cake

I decided to start with something I have tried before but it never came out right. I had some old banana's so Banana Cake it was.  I had a mixer to use this time which helped a ton and I only cooked it for 20 minutes and it was done. The verdict was- perfect! Just like grandma's. I am getting the family recipe book this weekend and will continue this project.

The beginning

My grandma, Marilyn Law Stanger, was my hero! I looked up to her and wanted to be just like her. My grandma passed away on Sept. 11, 2012. I have made a goal to be like my grandma and part of that is I want to cook like my grandma. She was a an amazing cook with recipes that no one has been able to replicate....yet! I am going to be like in the show Julie and Julia and cook my way through my grandma's recipes until the are perfect! This is the beginning
